At Successful Healthy Children, our mission is to collaborate with parents and educators to champion healthy social-emotional, intellectual and physical well-being in elementary, middle and high schools, advocating for playful recess for all students everyday.
Our vision is to serve as an umbrella in support of children, offering a variety of services and resources to assist students, teachers, parents, and schools. Our aim is to activate the values we hold in the work we do: creating change, taking action and advocating for children’s rights, in collaboration with parents and professionals for the benefit of the whole child, in ways that are sustainable for families and schools.
Ensuring every child is healthy and prepared to engage in our society is at the core of the mission, vision and core values. Our schools play an integral role in fostering the growth and development of children, school is where we learn to engage with others and come to understand our world. We expect schools to help our children succeed not only academically but also physically, emotionally, and socially.
Successful Healthy Children is an approved 501(c)3 not-for-profit, which offers several ways to support healthy-learning experiences and academic success. Successful Healthy Children is also home for the Global Recess Alliance, an international group of scholars, researching and advocating for recess for all children and adolescents.

We believe that the best means of fostering children's well-being in school revolves around the collaboration of educators and parents.
We believe education is a lifelong endeavor: it is the mission of schools to provide education for the whole child.
We believe in a whole child approach to schooling; that school is not only academic; it's developmental.
